Furnish and install a commercial domestic hot water heater at Minuteman High School, 758 Marrett Road, Lexington, Massachusetts. All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked: "IFB - Commercial Domestic Hot Water Heater." The District reserves the right to waive any informalities, reject any or all bids, or accept the bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District. Bid documents and specifications may be obtained from the Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District in accordance with the instructions in the bid package. The Minuteman Regional Vocational Technical School District invites sealed bids for the furnish and installation of a commercial domestic hot water heater at Minuteman High School. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the instructions contained herein. Bids received after the specified date and time will not be accepted. All bid prices shall remain firm for forty-five (45) days following the bid opening. The District reserves the right to waive minor informalities, reject any or all bids, or cancel this IFB if it is determined to be in the best interest of the District. II. Purchase Description / Scope of Services The successful bidder shall furnish and install one (1) commercial, natural gas-fired, condensing domestic hot water heater, including all labor, materials, equipment, permits, and coordination necessary to complete the work. The scope includes removal and lawful disposal of the existing unit; installation of the new heater; all piping, venting, condensate neutralization, electrical connections; startup, testing, commissioning; and final inspections. All work shall be coordinated with the District to minimize disruption to school operations. III. Quality Requirements Bidders must demonstrate the ability to perform the work described in Section II and must comply with all bid submission requirements in Section I. Bidders shall have a minimum of three (3) years of experience installing commercial hot water heaters of similar size and complexity in occupied facilities. Bidders must hold all required Massachusetts licenses and certifications and comply with all applicable codes, regulations, and manufacturer requirements.
