The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and consists of the following Beaver Creek Bridge: Remove and replace the existing composite top rail (approx. 250 LF) along the existing bridge rails. Install new Marine Grade PT 2x10 top rail (approx. 250 LF) as detailed in the plans. Remove and replace posts and bottom rails as shown on the plans per unit pricing. Existing continuous composite rub rail (approx. 250 LF) will be removed and replaced with the same Marine Grade PT 2x10 under the alternate. Reedy Branch Bridge: Remove and replace the existing composite top rail (approx. 232 LF) along the existing bridge rails. Install new Marine Grade PT 2x10 top rail (approx. 232 LF) as detailed in the plans. Remove and replace posts and bottom rails as shown on the plans per unit pricing. Existing continuous composite rub rail (approx. 232 LF) will be removed and replaced with the same Marine Grade PT 2x10 under the alternate. White Oak Creek Bridge: Remove and replace the existing composite top rail (approx. 326 LF) along the existing bridge rails. Install new Marine Grade PT 2x10 top rail (approx. 326 LF) as detailed in the plans. Remove and replace posts and bottom rails as shown on the plans per unit pricing. Existing continuous composite rub rail (approx. 326 LF) will be removed and replaced with the same Marine Grade PT 2x10 under the alternate. B. Type of Contract: 1. Project will be constructed under a single prime contract. Provide labor, material, and equipment for the construction of the 'American Tobacco Trail Bridge Rail Repairs', located along the western side of Wake County. Bidders must comply with the requirements of the Wake County Minority Business Enterprise Program. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty days after the scheduled closing time for bids.
