The purpose of these specifications is to relate Racine County's requirements for purchasing the services described. Any item omitted which is clearly necessary for the satisfactory performance of the proposed service, even though not directly specified, shall be considered a part of the contract. Approximately 2,000 linear feet of full-depth concrete sawing of old, existing concrete at various locations within Racine County as directed by the project coordinator. All work shall be performed in full accordance with the applicable provisions of the 2026 State of Wisconsin Department of Transportation, Standard Specifications for Highway and Structure Construction and supplemental specifications. Traffic control will be provided by Racine County. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Contractor shall indemnify, keep and save harmless the County of Racine, their agents, officials and employees, against all injuries, deaths, loss, damages, claims, suits, liabilities, judgments, costs and expenses, which may arise directly or indirectly from any negligence or from the reckless or willful misconduct of the Contractor or his employees, or of any Subcontractors, or any of their Material Suppliers, or employees. The Contractor shall at his own expense, appear, defend and pay all charges of attorneys and any other expenses arising therefrom or incurred in connection therewith. If any judgment shall be rendered against the County of Racine in any such action, the Contractor shall, at his own expense, satisfy and discharge the same. The Contractor shall indemnify and hold harmless Racine County against any liens filed for nonpayment of his bills in connection with the project.
