Replace main in Racine, Racine, WI. The work includes water utilities, water transmission pipelines, water main repair, replacement and rehabilitation, utility street construction and excavation, jack and bore sewer water utility construction, sewer and water construction, water and wastewater infrastructure, and waterlines. Instructions to bidders: more information on bid submission and plan details will be provided later. Pre-qualification is required. Registering as a Planholder is recommended for all prime contractors and subcontractors as Planholders will receive automatic notice of addenda and other contract document updates via online. Project involves approximately 12,000 L.F. of 8-inch diameter water main, approximately 1,800 L.F. of 12-inch diameter water main, 850 L.F. of 16-inch diameter water main, various sized diameter butterfly and gate valves, hydrants and leads, public side water service installations and reconnections, construction staking, erosion control, concrete curb and gutter, asphalt and concrete pavement repair, pavement marking, traffic control, and restoration. Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) Program contractors, including MBE's and WBE's, are encouraged to submit bid proposals. If any subcontracting is done, the prime contractor must make a Good Faith Effort to solicit bids from qualified DBE firms, including MBEs and WBEs. Prior to the award, the City will be reviewing the Contractor's submittals in order to meet the qualifications under minority-owned or woman-owned business. In addition, the City encourages MBE's and WBE's to submit Bid Proposals. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing.
