The City of Covington Public Works Department is seeking bids from qualified contractors to perform a North Beverly Avenue Storm Water Pipe Replacement for the City. Bidders are instructed to see the solicitation documents for details regarding a mandatory pre-bid/proposal conference or site visit. Question Deadline 03/05/2026 at 3:00 PM ET For any questions, please contact the Anthony Lowry at 540-965-6524 or email them to alowry@covington.va.us The Scope: Demo and remove the existing drainage pipe, install approximately 200 LF of new corrugated plastic pipe (up to 36" diameter), backfill and stabilize above the pipe, backfill across N Beverly Avenue with stone, install outlet protection (Rip Rap) and tie into existing upstream pipe. All debris will need to be disposed of by the awarded bidder. Soil piles can be placed on Pine St. at the public works lay yard. Scope does not include engineering to determine runoff volume or pipe capacity. Since there are two upstream sources of flow, we recommend a site investigation to determine where the existing outlet pipe originates and if the two sources of flow can be tied together upstream of the new pipe.
