Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Winona, Minnesota. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; water / sewer project; for paving for a road / highway; and sidewalk / parking lot.
A Third Street Reconstruction Project from Hamilton Street to Mankato Avenue is scheduled to be constructed this summer. The project will reconstruct the water main, storm sewer, sanitary sewer, curb and gutter, pavement, driveway approaches, and much of the sidewalk. Tree clearing may start mid to late March. Construction will be expected to start mid-May and be completed by the end of October. Approximate quantities for the major items of work are: Concrete Pavement Removal 8,320 SY, Bituminous Pavement 2,680 TON, 4” Concrete Walk 10,200 SF, Concrete Curb & Gutter 4,100 LF, RCP Storm Sewer 2,040 LF, PVC Sanitary Sewer 3,600 LF, PVC Watermain 1,990 LF. Only electronic bids will be accepted via the specified online portal. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for 5% of the bid, made payable to the City of Winona, Minnesota, which will be forfeited if the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract. Contractors must provide a bond in the full contract amount within ten days of award, with a term of two years from final acceptance. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. Proposals must be submitted on the furnished forms.
