Demolition for a parking garage in Saint Joseph, Missouri. Completed plans call for the demolition of a parking garage.
The work consists of all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, permits, and incidentals necessary to complete the full demolition and removal and/or partial demolition and removal of the existing parking garage structure located at 4th & Felix. Bid proposals must be submitted electronically through the designated system. No paper, emailed, or faxed submissions will be accepted. Bids will be received on a Lump Sum basis with Alternates. Bid security in the amount of Five Percent (5%) is required. The successful bidder must furnish a Performance and Maintenance Bond and a Payment Bond, as specified in the contract documents. Bidders are required to comply with wage rates, equal opportunity in employment, all applicable laws, terms and conditions, and nondiscrimination in employment as described under President's Executive Order Number 11246. Bidders must also comply with Missouri law R.S.Mo. 292.675, requiring all contractors and subcontractors to provide a ten-hour construction safety and health course for all on-site employees, with documentation required within 60 days of commencing work. The City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. No bid may be withdrawn within a period of sixty days after the date fixed for opening bids.
