The proposed work consists of existing concrete removal, existing sheet pile wall repair with waler and tiebacks, and existing conveyor system foundation repair. Additional improvements include replacing 900 L.F. of 1" cable between existing winches (Alternate No. 1). Additional alternates include concrete replacement in lieu of base rock infill (Alternate No. 2) and a helical pile supported crane pad (Alternate No. 3). Three additional paving alternates are also included. Bidders are required to execute the agreement, furnish the required contractor's performance bond, payment bond, and certificate of insurance within ten calendar days from the date of the notice of award. The contractor agrees to furnish all labor, materials, and equipment called for in the proposal and perform all work as required by the contract as shown on the plans and specifications, in accordance with the Missouri Standard Specifications for Highway Construction and Missouri Standard Plans for Highway Construction, including all revisions to these documents. Complete instructions for bidders and proposal blanks may be obtained from the designated location upon payment. Only contractors who are listed on the plan holders list will be eligible to bid. All work shall comply with applicable state and local laws and permit requirements, and is subject to inspection by designated authorities. Wage rates have been predetermined by law and are detailed in the bid proposal. The contractor is responsible for all surveying, construction staking, and setting of lines and grades beyond the initial elevation benchmark provided by the engineer. Bidders must be on MoDOT's pre-approved contractor list and submit proposals on provided forms. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids.
