Project consists of single Prime Contractor Package: Bid Package #28 – Fire Alarm Systems. Bids must be received at the Dallas Center Grimes School District Administration Center by 2:00 p.m. CT on March 24, 2026. Bids received after this time will not be accepted. Bids will be publicly opened in the school’s Administrative Center Boardroom and read aloud. All bidders are welcome to attend. Instructions for delivery of bids include mailed and hand delivered options. A pre-bid conference and site tour is not planned. Project documents governing the proposed work have been prepared by OPN Architects. Bidding documents will be available on February 27, 2026, and may be obtained from Beeline & Blue, either in person or online. Project documents will be loaned to qualified bidders upon receipt of either a Master Builders of Iowa non-cash deposit card or a check for $100 per set, refundable upon return of documents within fourteen days after the bid due date. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid must accompany each bid. The successful bidder shall be required to furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each in an amount equal to the bid, guaranteeing faithful performance of the contract. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of thirty business days after the opening. The owner reserves the right to reject any part or all bids, to waive informalities, and to enter into such contract as deemed in its best interest. Award will be to the lowest responsive, responsible bidder, considering the quality of material or service in the district’s best interest.
