Site work for a residential development in Flowood, Mississippi. Completed plans call for site work for a residential development.
The scope of work is to make certain improvements to the existing storm drainage pipe system in the Millcreek Corners and Laurelwood Subdivision drainage area. The work required will include but not be limited to: clearing & grubbing, grading, storm drain, erosion control, and all other work required as shown on the Construction Plans and in the Contract Documents and Specifications. The total Contract Time is 90 consecutive calendar days with liquidated damages at $2,500.00 per consecutive calendar day thereafter. Bid Security in the amount of 5% of the bid must accompany each bid in accordance with the instructions to bidders. Attorneys-in-fact who sign Bid Bonds, Payment Bonds, or Performance Bonds must file with each bond a certified and effective dated copy of their Power of Attorney. Minority and Woman Owned Business Enterprises are solicited to bid on this contract as prime contractors and are encouraged to make inquiries regarding potential subcontracting opportunities, equipment, material and/or supply needs. The City of Flowood is an Equal Opportunity Employer and all bidders will be afforded the full opportunity to submit bids and will not be discriminated against on the grounds of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, sexual preference, marital or veteran status, or any other legally protected status in consideration for an award. No contractor may withdraw his proposal within sixty (60) days after the actual date of the opening thereof. Each bidder shall write the Certificate of Responsibility number and Mississippi Contractors License number on the outside of the sealed envelope containing the proposal. Proposals shall be submitted in duplicate, sealed, and deposited with the Clerk prior to the hour and date designated. The City of Flowood reserves the right to waive any information or irregularities, to accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the County, or to reject any or all bids. Award will be made to the lowest and best bidder as determined by the Owner.
