Renovation of an educational facility in Eastern, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 32,000-square-foot educational facility.

Furnish all labor, materials, supplies, tools, equipment, and services necessary for the construction of the Floyd Co. Board Office Roof Replacement as specified and shown in the construction documents. The project includes improvements at the Floyd County Board Office and Gymnasium buildings. At the Gymnasium, approximately 32,000 SF of existing roofing will be removed and replaced. The existing Tectum roof deck will be selectively removed and replaced where indicated. The main work includes installation of a new SBS roofing system and replacement of metal wall panels at the upper portion of the wall. At the Board Office, replace existing metal wall panels extending vertically along the wall as indicated, while the existing roof system and fascia remain. The project also includes about 300 SF of new storefront system installation, renovations to electrical and mechanical systems, removal and replacement of damaged gravity hoods and condensing units in the HVAC system, and associated electrical work including disconnection and reconnection of equipment, demolition of existing electrical feeders, and installation of new feeders to an existing roof-mounted panel. Bid submittals must be on forms found in the Project Manual, enclosed in a sealed envelope marked with the project information. Bid security of five percent must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder must supply a 100% Performance and Payment Bond. Bids will be received for a Total Lump Sum Amount. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bids and to waive informalities. Federal Wage Rates apply. Contractors are to review field conditions prior to bidding. Requests for addenda must be submitted in writing by the deadline. Contract documents are available electronically or in hard copy at the contractor's expense. Identify firm's role when requesting documents and provide a contact for addenda and communications. The Owner intends to purchase significant quantities of materials through direct purchase orders after review of bids. Preference is given to resident bidders as per applicable statutes. Conflicts of interest, gratuities, and kickbacks are strictly prohibited. Question Deadline Mar 11, 2026 at 12:00 PM Last date for the Architect to receive items to be addressed in any addenda. All requests must be submitted in writing.
