Site work for a water / sewer project in Wood Dale, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of Ward 1 Stormwater Improvements - Phase 1. Proposals must be submitted sealed and on forms provided. A bid bond or certified check/bank draft in an amount not less than ten percent (10%) of the bid must accompany each proposal as a guarantee of contract entry and performance security. A performance bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount with approved sureties is required for the successful bidder. The right is reserved to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or readvertise as judged to be in the City's best interest. The contractor must comply with applicable portions of the Green Infrastructure Grant Opportunities Agreement, the Illinois Works Jobs Program Act, and administrative rules including the Illinois Works Apprenticeship Initiative; 30 ILCS 559/20-20 to 559/20-25. The project requires compliance with prevailing wage rates established by the U.S. Department of Labor, and all applicable Federal, State, and local regulations. Bidder qualifications and experience are part of the determination for the lowest responsible bidder, with pre-qualification required before document release. The project is funded via an Intergovernmental Agreement between the City of Wood Dale and the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
