The Department of Health (DOH), Hawaii State Hospital (HSH), is seeking a contractor for the installation of roof coating, primer and coating, of the Guensberg Building on the ground of Hawaii State Hospital. Direct all questions regarding this Solicitation, and any questions or Issues relating to the accessibility of this Solicitation (Including the appendices and exhibits to this Document, and any other document related to this Solicitation), to: Adams, Troy. Questions regarding this IFB shall be submitted via HIePRO by March 10, 2026, 2:00 PM. Answers to questions shall be published on March 12, 2026, 2:00 PM. Only questions submitted via HIePRO shall be answered, no other questions shall be accepted. Installation and application of a Roof Coating to upper roof, and Lava Deck coating to lower roof, of the Guensberg Building at the Hospital Property. Conduct appropriate clean up, and leave no trash, overspray or paint drips and perform walkthrough upon work completion. 1. Application of Roof Coating onto 35,715.5 Square feet of upper roof. a. Pressure wash the existing roof to remove debris. b. Apply American Standard Coatings (ASC) 7 Elastomagic Cement, or comparable product, to all pipe flashings, corners, exposed metal joints, flanges, and around drains. c. Repair all holes, leaks, and cracks with ASC 7 Elastomagic Cement and ASC F Polyester Fabric or better. d. Apply ASC three course installation method, inspect all seams and three-course installation method. e. Apply ASC SP Silicone Primer, or comparable product, at a rate of half gallon to one gallon per square foot as needed. Allow to properly cure. f. Reinforce perimeters with ASC 1 Elastomeric coating and reinforcing fabric via the threecourse method before installing the coating system g. Apply ASC S Silicone coating system at two and a half gallon per 100 square foot coverage rate. 2. Application of Lava Roof Coating onto 1,242.9 square feet of lower roof. a. Pressure wash b. Apply Lava Primer at three hundred (300) square feet per gallon by either roller or pump sprayer. c. Stripe Lava Deck Basecoat over the seams and joints, imbedding polyester mesh into the wet coating d. Apply first Lava Deck Basecoat at one hundred (100) square feet per gallon e. Apply second Lava Deck Basecoat at one hundred (100) square feet per gallon f. Apply first Lava Deck Topcoat at two hundred (200) square feet per gallon g. Apply second Lava Deck Topcoat at two hundred (200) square feet per gallon
