Site work for a water / sewer project in Sweeden, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The work to be bid upon consists of installing approximately 300 linear feet of 6-inch PVC SDR-17 water main and appurtenances, approximately 60 linear feet of 6-inch PVC SDR-17 to replace an existing 12-inch steel encasement, and a tie-in between the existing 6-inch AC and 3-inch PVC water line. Proposals must be sealed and clearly marked on the outside as 'Sealed proposal for Edmonson County Water District KY-259 at KY-728 Water Line Work.' Substantial completion of the contract is required within 45 consecutive calendar days. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond payable to the Edmonson County Water District in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the base bid. No bidder may withdraw their bid for a period of ninety (90) days after the date bids are opened. Proposals not received by the specified time and date will be returned unopened. The Edmonson County Water District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive formalities; any bid that is obviously unbalanced may be rejected. All questions concerning the bidding process must be submitted in writing or emailed to the Engineer, and all responses will be distributed to all plan holders through addenda, if needed.
