Site work for a water / sewer project in Walnut, California. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.

The project consists of the complete replacement of the existing water distribution and irrigation systems within the Mt. SAC Wildlife Sanctuary. The primary objective is to install a new, durable water network primarily utilizing High-Density Polyethylene (HDPE) piping while abandoning the existing aging infrastructure, including transite (ACP) systems, in place. The scope includes comprehensive demolition of select above-grade and below-grade utilities, extensive trenching and earthwork throughout the sanctuary's varied terrain, and the installation of new main lines, lateral lines, valves, and a modernized irrigation control system. All work must be executed with strict adherence to environmental protections to preserve the sanctuary's sensitive landscape and existing water bodies. Specific instructions to bidders include coordinating all work with the College Project Manager, providing advance notice for utility shutdowns, field potholing and verifying existing utilities, implementing best management practices for erosion and pollution control, protecting existing natural features, legally disposing of demolished materials and excess soil, restoring impacted areas, installing HDPE piping, valves, and fittings, applying corrosion protection, installing thrust blocks and tracer wire, upgrading the irrigation system with new control components and sensors, and performing testing and disinfection of all new potable water lines. All work is to be performed Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Pre-qualification requirements: Firms must demonstrate appropriate experience, technical qualifications, financial capacity, and necessary licensing. All prequalification packages must be submitted electronically by the stated deadline. Only contractors who receive formal prequalification approval will be allowed to participate in the bidding process. Required documentation includes contractor license information, a completed vendor packet, and relevant certifications and acknowledgements. Contractors must also provide proof of insurance and bonding as specified, and ensure their subcontractors meet the same requirements."
