Renovation of an educational facility in Kentwood, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
This project consists of replacing the built-up roof system and shingle roof system at Bowen Elementary School with a new 60-mil Fully Adhered Reinforced EPDM Roofing System and Asphalt Shingled Roof System. Bidders are required to submit sealed bids in triplicate to Kentwood Public Schools Administration. Mailed bids must be received prior to the specified bid due time; faxed or emailed bids will not be accepted. Each bid must include a sworn and notarized Familial Disclosure Statement. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held at the project location, and all bidders are required to attend a site visit to inspect the property. Bidders must be reputable organizations with at least ten years of successful experience in similar work, possess required licenses, have adequate financial resources, and must have been awarded specific industry awards. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security or bond not less than 5% of the bid amount. The successful bidder may also be required to secure a Performance, Labor, and Material bond for contracts equal to or exceeding $50,000 from a surety company for the full contract amount.
