Renovation of an educational facility in Fresno, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Yosemite Middle School Roof Replacement, to replace roofing in specified locations, with new singleply roofing, asphalt shingle systems, and application of coating restoration system in specified locations. Question Deadline 03/16/2026 at 2:00 PM PT Refer questions to Marisa Thibodeaux marisa.thibodeaux@fresnounified.org. Remove existing low-slope roofing systems, base flashings, patches, repairs, flashings, edge metal and insulation down to wood board roof decks at locations indicated on drawings and dispose of offsite. B. Removal of existing sheet metal flashing elements where indicated on drawings or where required to remove existing roofing and to install new roofing system in compliance with manufacturer requirements based on required manufacturer warranty. Dispose of or store flashings for reinstallation as indicated on project drawings. Modify existing flashings as indicated on drawings to allow for proper installation of new roofing system. Install new sheet metal skirt flashings to match composition of existing flashings with drip edge. Secure in place with new fasteners of matching metal composition. C. Remove and dispose of all unused or abandoned equipment at roof areas as indicated on drawings or as required to complete proper installation of the specified roof systems in accordance with manufacturer requirements. D. Replace all damaged or defective structural wood decking as directed by FUSD representative or its consultant. The Base Bid shall include labor and material to replace up to three hundred (300) linear feet of damaged or defective wood lumber of equal thickness as the existing and up to thirty (30) 4' x 8' plywood roof panels of equal thickness as authorized by the Owner. At completion of project, contractor shall credit FUSD for any unused labor and material for replacement or lumber and plywood in the event fewer than specified linear feet of material or plywood sheets are replaced. Credit shall be based on Unit Cost as included on Bid Form (Section 00 40 00). E. Contractor to provide Unit Cost for replacement of ten (10) linear feet of additional damaged or defective wood board roof decking of equal thickness. Cost to include all labor and material. Materials and installation shall comply with specifications and code requirements. F. Contractor to provide Unit Cost for replacement of one (4' x 8') plywood panel of equal thickness. Cost to include all labor and material. Materials and installation shall comply with specifications and code requirements. G. Contractor to provide Unit Cost for replacement of one (1) damaged or defective roof drain to match. Cost to include all labor and material to remove existing element and install and connect new drain to existing plumbing. Materials and installation shall comply with specifications and code requirements. H. Install fully-adhered 80-mil PVC thermoplastic membrane roofing system over layer of mechanically attached tapered polyisocyanurate rigid roof insulation and layer of minimum 1/2 " gypsum coverboard as indicated on drawings. Install manufacturer approved prefabricated or field fabricated membrane accessories as required based on manufacturer installation requirements and manufacturer 20-year NDL requirements. Work is defined as including all material, labor, equipment, and services necessary to complete all work shown on the Drawings and/or as called for in the Project Specifications and manufacturer requirements. Install additional base layer of 1/4 " thickness gypsum coverboard at locations indicated on drawings to correct midspan deck deflection to minimize standing water. Base layer shall be covered with specified layer of gypsum coverboard and thermoplastic roof membrane. J. All membrane terminations are to comply with manufacturer requirements including but not limited to, all vertical base flashings, all roof and wall penetrations, HVAC supports, drains, vents, heat stacks, etc. K. Remove and replace existing sheet metal counterflashings as indicated on drawings. Cut existing counterflashings and install new skirt flashings where indicated on drawings. New skirt flashings and fasteners to be composed of 24-gauge galvanized sheet metal or PVC clad metal based on details on drawings and manufacturer requirements. L. Remove and replace existing perimeter metal edging as indicated on the drawings. Install new metal edging in accordance with details on drawings. M New membrane wall flashings to extend to outside of nailer at top of walls and shall be properly secured to nailer. N. Disassemble all existing roof drains and overflows. Reinstall existing roof drains with new stainless-steel bolts and washers. Replace all damaged or missing drain strainers with new elements. Inspect drains for damage and report any damaged drains to FUSD representative or its consultant. Flood test all drains at conclusion of project to confirm proper function. Contractor is to clear all obstructed drain lines as part of the work. Contractor to provide Unit Price for replacement of any damaged drain. See Bid Form. O. Install new ABS plumbing at roof corridor locations as indicated on drawings to facilitate drainage of water from classrooms to existing roof drain locations located on north-south central corridors as indicated on the drawings. New plumbing shall be connected to existing plumbing at ends of each classroom wing. All work shall be conducted in accordance with code requirements and new drain lines shall be supported on new rubber blocks with metal clamps. Ends of plumbing sections shall include an elbow directing water into the drain bowl. P. Remove and dispose of all abandoned rooftop curbs and sleepers as indicated on drawings. Q. Install new PVC clad metal flashings at locations indicated on drawings or where required by roofing materials manufacturer. R. Remove existing wood and rubber blocks at locations of rooftop conduits, gas and water lines. Install new approved rubber blocks beneath all elements at max. 6' o.c. S. Install tapered insulation at locations indicated on drawings or as required by manufacturer. Tapered insulation shall be mechanically attached to the substrate using approved fasteners. T. Install new factory-painted gutters and downspouts at locations indicated on drawings. Existing steel downspouts shall be disconnected from existing roof drains where indicated on drawings, repositioned and connected to new gutter downspouts. Disconnected roof drains shall be abandoned and covered by new thermoplastic roof system. U. Power wash specified steep-slope roof areas to remove debris and prepare for application of elastomeric silicone coating over existing roof surfaces. After masking perimeter metal, equipment and other rooftop elements to protect from overspray, apply silicone coating in accordance with specifications and manufacturer recommendations. Provide manufacturer 20-year NDL warranty and contractor 3-year workmanship guarantee. Bleed blocking primer shall be applied to existing coating surface as required by manufacturer to ensure proper bond and to comply with manufacturer warranty requirements. Prime Contractor must have a valid Class C-39 Contractor's License. The time allowed for completion for the project shall be 60 Calendar days. The District reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, or any combination of bids and to waive any irregularities or informalities which may be legally waived. ** site visit info : All visitors must check-in at the school office using our visitor management system which requires ID verification via government-issued identification card or driver's license to receive a badge and enter the campus.
