The Work to be done under the Contract shall consist of three parts: Part 1 - City Funded Work, Part 2 - Transit Improvements, and Part 3 - Water and Waste Work. Part 1 includes pavement rehabilitation, thin bituminous overlay, alley pavement rehabilitation, and sidewalk renewal on specified local and regional streets. Work involves installation of new catch basins, catchpits, and sewer service drainage connections, pavement and sidewalk renewal, curb renewal, planing of existing curbs and asphalt, construction of new asphalt overlays, adjustment of catch basins, manholes, and paving stones, as well as boulevard restoration. Part 2 consists of transit improvements including removal and reconstruction of concrete bus pads, curbs, and sidewalks at specified locations, as well as boulevard restoration. Part 3 includes manhole and sewer repairs, grouting cracks in manholes, replacing pre-cast risers, repair of concrete benching, external point repairs to sewers, and inspection of sewers and manholes. Part 2 and Part 3 of the Work are contingent upon approval of sufficient funding by Winnipeg Transit and the City of Winnipeg Water and Waste Department. The City may eliminate all or any portion of Part 2 or Part 3 if sufficient funding is not approved, with corresponding reductions in contract price and adjusted performance timelines.
