The work consists of furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment necessary to construct the project titled Construction of A New Deep Well Water Supply and Chemical Feed Building for the Sgoda Road Water System as shown on the construction drawings. Generally, Division 1 involves the rehabilitation of a 350 gpm deep well water supply or the drilling of a new deep well and minor modifications to the General Twiggs Well. Division 2 covers the construction of the chemical feed building, chemical equipment including chlorination, phosphate, and Caustic Soda equipment, SCADA controls for both wells and the elevated tank, electrical, yard piping, site work, fencing, grassing, erosion control, and is awarded as a separate contract. All bidders must be licensed as required by the State of Georgia. Bid forms must be accompanied by a Bid Bond of not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Additional bidding requirements are specified in the Instructions to Bidders. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive informalities, and to re-advertise. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Contract Documents are to be directed to Engineer. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary by Engineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents.
