Proposals are requested for seasonal grounds maintenance services including, but not limited to, mowing and trimming of athletic fields and lawn areas at Minisink Park, Waterfront Park, Cabin, Community Garden area, and the Municipal Center. The work also includes maintenance weeding, mulching, and trimming of landscaping, shrubbery, and plantings throughout these areas as well as Marshalls Falls Park, and the East & West Loop Trails at Minisink Park. Proposals must be submitted on the contractor's letterhead in a sealed envelope addressed to Smithfield Township Board of Supervisors and must note that the "Grounds Maintenance Proposal – 2026" is enclosed. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid meeting to review the areas and work to be done is required. Bidders must register for the mandatory site inspection. The Board of Supervisors reserves the right to reject any proposal that does not include all information requested and may award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or as deemed in the Township's best interests.
