The project involves the installation of fabric, stone, and asphalt on approximately 3,000 linear feet of existing access road; approximately 1,600 linear feet of guardrail; installation of a water booster station and 1,560 linear feet of 6" waterline; installation of approximately 2,500 linear feet of 2" gas line; 1,800 linear feet of 4" SCH 40 and 2" SCH 40 conduit; approximately 2,000 cubic yards of earthwork to prepare a pad for future cabins; utility connections at each cabin location; and installation of fabric and stone on approximately 4,200 linear feet of existing trail and related appurtenances. The Work will be substantially completed within 150 calendar days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run, and completed and ready for final payment within 180 days after the date when the Contract Times commence to run. Bidders are required to have a West Virginia Contractor's License. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond equal to five percent of the base bid. A two-envelope system is used for submission. The first envelope must include all bid opening requirements and a signed drug-free workplace affidavit. Failure to attend the mandatory pre-bid conference or to submit required documents will result in disqualification. Compliance with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises requirements, Affirmative Action Program, Build America Buy America, and other specified labor standards and regulations is mandatory.
