Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in West Chester, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following list of items as identified below and in the enclosed drawings. A. The Base Bid Project consists of asphalt pavement sealcoat to Rustin High School Stadium - Parking Lot and Drive with further clarifications noted below: . 1. Basis of Design is SealMaster Coal Tar Sealer, per enclosed Specification Section 32 1130 - Asphalt Pavement Sealcoating for Parking Lots. i. Two Coats for Parking stalls. ii. Three Coats for high traffic areas including Stadium Drive, parking lot entrances, exits and drive lanes. iii. Oil spots coated with Oil Spot Primer as required. iv. Include 2% Latex additive, SealMaster Top Tuff. 2. Cleaning all surfaces to remove vegetation, dirt, and light debris. 3. Cleaning of existing cracks and filler for 1/4 " width or larger cracks, using SealMaster CrackMaster Parking Lot Grade (Hot Pour Rubberized Crack Sealant) per Specification. i. A Base Bid Quantity Allowance of 5000 lineal feet crack filler is included ii. Alligator cracking is specifically not included in the Base Bid Scope. 4. All preparation and cleanup to complete this Scope of Work such as: i. Required traffic cones, barrier, tape, and signage from setup, through curing and removal. ii. General existing pavement surface cleaning as per Specifications to remove vegetation, dirt and light debris. iii. Oil Spot preparation, scraping, cleaning and primer. iv. Waste management involving daily cleanup, furnished dumpsters, removal and hauling for disposal offsite 5. Repainting of all existing pavement markings per current layout. B. A 12-month contractor warranty shall be supplied from the date of substantial completion. C. Provide all labor and materials necessary for a complete installation. uestion Deadline 03/16/2026 at 12:00 PM ET All questions will be received through the online . All bids must be accompanied by a Non-Collusion Affidavit and a Contractor's Qualification Statement. Bids must remain valid for sixty (60) days after the date of the bid opening and may be rejected at any time prior to the expiration of said date. Bids must include a certified check or bid bond, with a corporate surety authorized to do business in Pennsylvania in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the amount of the bid, as posted through online, made payable to the West Chester Area School District. Checks or bonds will be returned to unsuccessful bidders after the contract has been awarded, or the bids rejected. The successful bidder's check or bond will be returned when his contract has been properly completed. In case the successful bidder fails to enter into a contract within ten (10) days after notification of acceptance of bid, said check or bond shall be forfeited to the School District. The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Payment Bonds in amounts equal to 100% of the contract price and shall be included in the contractor's bid amount. Surety shall be satisfactory to the School District This project is subject to prevailing wage. The School Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids for any or no reason, to waive informalities and irregularities, and to make or not make awards in the best interest of the West Chester Area School District.
