All RFI's and requests for clarification must be submitted via email to Mary Ellen Nobuhara nobuhara.maryellen@tusd.org Sealed bids are being requested for West High School Sports Field Renovations under CUPCCAA BID NO.: 05-03.24.26. All bids must be made on the designated forms and received online. The contract period is 131 calendar days from the Notice to Proceed. The work must be performed in accordance with the California Uniform Public Construction Cost Accounting Act and all relevant guidelines. Each bid must strictly conform to the contract documents. Bidders must submit a list of designated subcontractors as required. Bids must be accompanied by bidder's security in an amount not less than 10% of the bid, in the form of cash, cashier's check, certified check, or a bidder's bond. Successful bidders must provide required performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates. Contractors and all subcontractors must comply with applicable labor laws, including payment of prevailing wage rates and submission of certified payroll records. Substitution of securities for retention is permitted as set out in the applicable code. Separate payment and performance bonds, each for 100% of the contract amount, are required. Bids may not be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the bid opening. Award of contract will go to the responsible bidder submitting the lowest priced response bid. All DVBE program requirements, if applicable, must be met, and forms are included in the bid package. Any substitution requests must be made with the bid. No phones are available to bidders on site, and it's the sole responsibility of each bidder to ensure timely delivery of bids at the designated location. Late bids will be returned unopened. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities or informalities in any bids. Pre-qualification requirements: Prospective prime bidders holding license types A, B, C-4, C-7, C-10, C-16, C-20, C-34, C-36, C-38, C-42, C-43, or C-46 must submit prequalification documents not less than ten (10) business days prior to the bid opening date. MEP subcontractors with the above licenses must also be prequalified. The successful bidder must possess a valid and active Class B-General License at the time of bid and throughout the duration of the contract. All subcontractors must be licensed for the necessary trades as required by California law. All contractors and subcontractors must be registered to perform public work pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5 at the time the contract is awarded. Attendance at a mandatory pre-bid conference is required for all contractors bidding on the project; failure to attend will result in the bid being returned unopened. Each bidder's bid must be accompanied by one of the specified forms of bid security and meet all requirements regarding performance and payment bonds, insurance, and compliance with prevailing wage requirements, as well as other labor code stipulations. The Contractor shall perform all work necessary to make various improvements to the ball field complex at West High School located in Torrance, CA. Unless otherwise specified, the Contractor shall furnish all materials, equipment, tools, labor and incidentals to complete the work which includes, but is not limited to the following: 1. Improvements to one (1) varsity baseball field, (1) JV Practice baseball field, (1) Girls Softball field, (1) practice softball field, (1) multi-purpose grass field for soccer practice & discus throwing. 2. Re-grading of ball fields 3. Replacement & repairs of field irrigation system 4. Replacement of natural grass and planting 5. Installation of two (2) new scoreboards
