Sealed bids are requested for South Elementary School Fire Alarm Upgrades in Crossville, Tennessee. Bids must be hand delivered or mailed to Cumberland County Finance Department. Bid documents can be examined at Upland Design Group PLLC, and electronic access can be obtained upon request. Each bid must include a certified check or bid bond for five percent of the amount bid. The successful bidder must execute a Performance Bond for one hundred percent of the contract price or other approved security. Bids cannot be withdrawn for thirty days after bid opening. There will be a pre-bid meeting to explain the scope of work and allow questions; attendance is encouraged but not mandatory. All bidders must be licensed contractors in the State of Tennessee, and the contractor is responsible for ensuring all on-site construction workers have passed a state background check. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive informalities. The Bid Envelope Cover Sheet must be fully completed; omissions will result in the bid being returned unopened.
