Construction of Handicap Concrete Ramps per ADA Requirements, construction staking of ramps, detectable warning field, 5" concrete walk, concrete walk and/or driveway, concrete curb & gutter, 6" concrete pavement, variable thickness concrete base, variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, various concrete removals, sewer work, installation of conduit and other appurtenance underground work. The contract involves removing and replacing designated pedestrian ramps within the limits of various "high impact" asphalt paving projects on the North Side. All work must be completed by the specified completion date. The residency requirement is 40% of all hours worked, with one quarter of those hours by residents of specified zip codes. The SBE requirement is 25% of the contract base bid, and SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) with SBE certificates must be submitted with the bid. Bid Security Required: 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid. Bidders must comply with residency, SBE, and apprenticeship forms for the project; failure to do so may result in bid rejection.
