Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Completed plans call for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot; road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The scope of work includes the construction of handicap concrete ramps per ADA requirements, construction staking of ramps, detectable warning field, 5-inch concrete walk, concrete walk and/or driveway, concrete curb and gutter, 6-inch concrete pavement, variable thickness concrete base, variable thickness asphaltic concrete pavement, various concrete removals, sewer work, installation of conduit, and other appurtenance underground work. The contract covers the removal and replacement of ADA ramps on Menomonee River Pkwy/Tower View Rd and all pedestrian ramps within the limits of specified high-impact asphalt paving projects at various locations on the South Side. All work must be completed by October 9, 2026. Liquidated damages are set at $500 per day. Instructions to bidders include: 40% of all hours worked must be performed by residents, with a quarter of those hours attributable to specified zip codes; a 25% SBE requirement on the contract base bid; submission of the SBE Compliance Plan (Form A) with supporting certificates; bid security of 10% of the Contractor's Base Bid by bond, certified check, cashier's check, or cash; required forms must be filled out properly; and compliance with payment and payroll monitoring as outlined. Failure to meet requirements or properly complete forms may render a bid unresponsive.
