Site work for a multi-residential development in Cedar Falls, Iowa. Completed plans call for site work for a 12-story above grade multi-residential development.
Replace cast-iron sanitary waste stack and horizontal runouts serving toilets, urinals, and floor drains for twelve story Bender Residence Hall. New piping shall be cast iron pipe. Existing sanitary vent stack and portions of horizontal branches shall remain. Bids will be received for a stipulated sum contract. Each bid shall be submitted electronically through the documents provided at www.bidexpress.com with an uploaded copy of the bid security as set forth in the Instructions to Bidders. Bid security shall be agreed upon as the measure of liquidated damages which Owner will sustain by failure, neglect or refusal of bidder to deliver a signed contract stipulating performance of the work in unqualified compliance with Contract Documents or furnish the required 100% Contract Performance and Payment Bond within ten days after receipt of Notice of Award. No bid may be withdrawn for a period of forty-five calendar days after the date of opening. The Iowa Board of Regents reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive irregularities and to accept that bid which is deemed in the best interest of the Owner. There is a participation goal of 10% for certified Targeted Small Businesses. Ample parking for people attending pre-bid is available in any available metered parking on campus or in North Parking Lot at Facilities Management. Bidder is responsible for costs associated with parking.
