This is a request for quote for duct removal and insulation of new ductwork at the Pittsburgh VAMC. VA Pittsburgh University Drive Campus needs removal of old and failing insulation and jacketing from an exterior duct and the installation of new insulation and jacketing. The ductwork is located on the 2nd floor roof. The dimensions of the duct are 52 inches wide, 48 inches high, and 12 feet long. The new insulation shall be 2-inch-thick insulation and venture clad jacketing. 1. Removal of Existing Insulation and Jacketing _ Strip old and failing insulation and jacketing from the exterior ductwork. _ Ensure complete removal of all insulation materials. _ Dispose of old insulation and jacketing in compliance with applicable safety and environmental regulations. _ Ensure the duct surface is clean and free of debris before reinsulating. 2. Installation of New Insulation and Jacketing _ Re-insulate the exterior duct measuring 52 inches wide by 48 inches high by 12 feet long. _ Use 2-inch-thick foam board insulation. _ Make insulation slope on flat horizonal section so no water puddles on top of duct. _ Apply venture clad jacketing over the new insulation. _ Ensure that the installation adheres to all manufacturer guidelines for insulation and jacketing Contractors are advised that any and all questions concerning this solicitation must be sent in writing to the Contracting Office via email to Lakeisiha.Davenport@va.gov.
