Sealed bids are invited for a contract for Katella HS Tennis Courts. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope, bearing the name of the Bidder and the project name, with an acceptable form of security. Bids must be filed with the District Facilities Department before the established deadline. A mandatory job walk and conference is required for all bidders; failure to attend will result in the bid being deemed nonresponsive. Each bid must include cash, a certified or cashier's check, or a bond from a satisfactory surety company in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid. If the contract price exceeds $25,000, the successful bidder must provide a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract price. All required bonds must be from an admitted surety approved to conduct business in the State of California. The bidder must be a licensed contractor with the appropriate classification (A or B) and maintain the license throughout the contract duration. Contractors must comply with prevailing wage laws, and post required wage rates at the job site. They, and their subcontractors, must be properly registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) and qualified to perform public works. The project is subject to compliance monitoring and enforcement by the DIR. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids and/or waive any irregularity in a bid.
