This project consists of a major renovation and reimagining of the Memorial Union (MU) West Commons Dining Room to a multi-use space to increase student use and activities beyond typical mealtimes. The space is envisioned as a core student gathering area in the MU and will allow students to continue to meet and utilize the MU during the closure of the Main Lounge in future phases. The project also includes finish upgrades throughout the mezzanine corridors and the Trysting Tree Lounge, as well as complete HVAC, electrical, and lighting upgrades in the West Wing commons, mezzanine, and Trysting Tree area. Work does not include any areas associated with the food vendor spaces or any restroom work. All materials used in the project should be readily available and maintainable by MU Facility's Staff.
