The proposed project consists of the replacement of various sections of curbing and sidewalks along the Route 9W corridor beginning from the municipal boundary south of Holt Drive and extending North to Rose Street. The replacement shall include the removal and replacement of concrete sidewalks and curbing, in kind, as outlined within the bid document and plans. The work shall also include ADA accessible ramps and crosswalk striping, as described in the bid documents. Bidders are required to obtain contract documents from the specified engineering office, either in person for a deposit or electronically at no charge. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guarantee of at least five percent of the bid amount, payable to the Town as a guarantee that the bidder will execute the contract and file acceptable performance and payment bonds and insurance certificates within ten days after award. Bids will only be accepted from those whose names and addresses are on record as having obtained the contract documents. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any formality or technicality in the interest of the Owner. Bidders are required to execute non-collusion bidding certificates and comply with labor standards, minimum wage rates, employment conditions, and all applicable equal opportunity and anti-discrimination provisions. Additional certifications and information regarding bidder qualifications, experience, and financial status must also be provided as part of the bid submission. The contractor must guarantee work for one year after final acceptance and comply with all insurance and bonding requirements, with specified coverage types and amounts. The project must be completed within 120 days, with liquidated damages specified for delays beyond that period. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
