Renovation of an educational facility in Norwalk, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

Scope of Work: This project includes, but is not limited to, removing and replacing existing windows with new aluminum windows, per bid drawings. Remove existing flooring and replace with new LVT and Carpeting, per bid drawings. Instructions to Bidders: Bidders must be licensed contractors as specified, with a valid and active Class A and/or B License at the time of award and throughout the contract. Subcontractors must also be licensed for the relevant trades. Bidders must submit a designated subcontractors list with the bid. The project has a 3% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise participation goal. Bidders' submissions must include bidder's security in one of the specified forms. Prevailing wage laws apply, and the Davis Bacon Act may apply for federally funded portions. By bidding, contractors and their listed subcontractors declare they are not debarred or ineligible for federal transactions. Separate payment and performance bonds of 100% of the contract amount are required from the awarded contractor. Requests for substitutions must be made at the time of bid. The District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive irregularities. It is each bidder's sole responsibility to ensure its bid is timely delivered and received at the location designated as specified (the Purchasing Department). Any bid received at the designated location after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids shall be returned to the bidder unopened. Also, to affirm, the pre-bid job walk is not mandatory, but attendance is highly recommended. Failure to attend the pre-bid job walk does not excuse the bidder from omission in receiving and/or examining any contract document; form; instrument; addendum; plans or other document, and being familiar with the site in acquainting the bidder with conditions there existing, and shall by no means in relieving any bidder from any obligation with respect to the bid submitted or to the contract thereof.
