Description of the Work: This project will fully repair Student Housing Building 419 at Naval Air Station Oceana in Virginia Beach, VA. Repair and construction will bring Building 419 up to current code requirements and the requirements defined by UFC 4-721-10N. Proposed renovations will construct a 104,132 square-foot, three-story structure and will meet current student housing requirements for 336 enlisted personnel in 168 bedrooms. Construction includes walkway enclosures, increasing the square footage from existing 87,449 SF to 104,132 SF. All major building systems are substandard/inadequate and require repair or replacement.
