The project is for interior painting of the Historic Old Town Hall in Sharon, VT, an 1830s historic brick building. Contractors must have expertise in repairing and preparing historic building surfaces, including original plaster, and must be able to meet historic preservation standards. The building is closed in the winter with no reliable heating, so the project cannot be completed during winter months. The contractor is to perform all services specified in Attachment A, which is referenced as part of the quote request. Submissions may recommend additional or alternative services that could provide more efficient or comprehensive means to meet the project goals as set forth in Attachment A. Qualified disadvantaged and women-owned businesses are encouraged to submit proposals. Bids may be submitted by mail, in person, or electronically in PDF format, and must include the required subject line and be addressed as specified. Additional materials that clarify or supplement the bid form may be included. Any exceptions to the specifications must be noted. Bidders must certify that their bid is made in good faith without fraud or connection with any other bidder. Type of Experience This project requires expertise in repairing and preparation of historic building surfaces as this building still has the original plaster, and we wish to preserve the building's historic character.
