Renovation of a municipal facility in Pomona, California. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The City of Pomona ("City") is seeking proposals ("Proposals") from qualified engineering firms ("Proposers") for professional services to perform the following: Provide Design Services for the Pedley Filtration Plant (PFP) Panels Replacement and Control Upgrades (Project). This Proposer team must include a qualified engineering firm with five (5) years of experience in electrical and/or instrumentation services. The successful firm shall demonstrate proven project management and technical expertise servicing municipal water resources infrastructure. The Pedley Filtration Plant (PFP) is an existing surface water treatment facility located in the City of Claremont, but owned by the City of Pomona. The PFP was originally constructed and permitted in 1962. It was later updated by the City in 1996 with a current capacity of up to 4 million gallons per day (MGD) to support the City's potable water demands. The PFP Panels Replacement and Control Upgrades (Project) proposes to demolish and replace an existing indoor programmable logic controller (PLC), an indoor Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) Panel, and an indoor Automatic Backwash (ABW) Filter Panel, at the existing PFP, along with its associated equipment for replacement with a new consolidated panel(s) and upgraded controls.
