As of May 6, 2026 "We will not be rebidding this bid package" Sealed proposals are requested for furnishing all equipment and necessary appurtenances, and for performing all work required for the equipment supply of the Project. Proposals must be marked "SEALED PROPOSAL - "WWTF IMPROVEMENTS - PACKAGE NO. 1 - AERATION" on the envelope. Each proposal must include a cashier's or certified check, or a proposal bond for at least five percent (5%) of the total maximum proposal price as a guarantee that the proposer will enter into a contract and execute required performance and payment bonds within ten (10) days after award notification. The successful proposer must provide a performance bond (100% of contract price), a material payment bond (100% of contract price), and a maintenance bond (50% of contract amount for two years), all from an approved surety, as well as submit the proposal on the provided form. The City reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive informality, ambiguity, or unbalanced unit prices. The selected Respondent to this Request for Proposals (RFP) shall supply a new aeration system package with a design capacity of 0.95 million gallons per day (mgd), consisting of all required equipment, controls, appurtenances, and manufacturer’s services as defined herein for a complete and operational system. The aeration system supplier shall be regularly engaged in the design, manufacture, and assembly of aeration systems of the size and type specified. The aeration system will be installed by a general contractor (GC) in the existing secondary treatment aeration basin under a phased approach (to maintain continuous wastewater treatment operations during construction) as part of the City’s Phase I WWTF Improvements project, funded by the City of Van Alstyne (not anticipated to be funded through state or federal funding at this time). The GC installation project will be bid separately, following procurement of the aeration equipment package. The proposed aeration package requirements are referenced in the technicalspecificationsin this package, and the existing aeration basin configuration and similar aspects of the GC project scope (including drawings and specifications) are included at the end of this RFP package as well for reference. The selected aeration package will be procured separately by the City of Van Alstyne, and the selected aeration package scope will be referenced in the Contract Documents of the GC project when it is bid, to allow for GC pricing of installation of the selected aeration system equipment.
