Renovation of a mixed-use development in Cochrane, Ontario. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fitness / recreation center; municipal facility; swimming pool; office development; and stadium.
* Owner does not release the Bid Amount at this time. Project will be updated once Awarded Contractor details are announced. The Tim Hortons Event Centre is a municipally operated recreation facility containing an arena, aquatic centre, gym spaces, support rooms, and administrative offices. The building's HVAC system is currently served by five Air Handling Units (AHUs), originally supplied by Carrier, which provide ventilation, air circulation, heating, cooling, and humidity control for various areas of the facility. These units have reached end-of-life and are experiencing reliability issues, reduced operating efficiency, and elevated maintenance requirements. Replacement with modern, high-efficiency air handling equipment is required to maintain indoor comfort, operational continuity, and energy performance. Due to manufacturer lead times for commercial HVAC units, the intent is to award this contract in 2026, with installation scheduled during Spring/Summer 2026.
