Renovation of a clubhouse / community center in Asheville, North Carolina. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a clubhouse / community center.
The City of Asheville is seeking architectural design service qualifications for the Shiloh Community Center and Tempie Avery Community Center to modernize and renovate these buildings to modern standards and make the spaces functional for current programming needs. Statements of Qualifications for Professional Services Architect will be received for this project. The City of Asheville reserves the right to reject any or all Letters of Interest and Statements of Qualifications. All questions concerning this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) should be submitted via email to: Rebecca Cipriano, Project Manager - rcipriano@ashevillenc.gov Design is anticipated to be completed in mid 2027 with the construction bid process for Shiloh beginning thereafter. Funding from the 2024-adopted general obligation (GO) bond referendum for Parks & Recreation funds each of these projects. The total funding (including soft costs and City costs) for the Shiloh Community Center is $4.5 Million and $4 million for Tempie Avery.
