The Board is seeking the services of a pre-qualified Architectural Firm to provide architectural and consulting services including Design Development, assistance with Contract Documents and Tender development, and Construction and Contract Administration for renovations at South Edwardsburg Public School. The project involves two design streams: Stream 1 focuses on roofing renewal and possible Reinforced Autoclaved Aerated Concrete (RAAC) roof deck replacement, while Stream 2 addresses accessibility and renovations. The awarded Architect will prepare tender drawings and specifications for tasks such as replacing roof sections and RAAC with steel deck, installing acoustic steel deck in the gym, structural enhancements, new roof-top units and mechanical, new curtain walls and windows, new finishes, new LED lighting, 2-ply modified bitumen roofing, universal washroom, barrier-free doors, replacing asbestos-containing flooring, classroom painting, and roof cut-tests. Stream 1 is a multi-phase, multi-year project and is conditional upon Ministry approval and funding. Stream 2, to be implemented if approval is not received in time, is a one-season project focused on accessibility and select renovations.
