The Project for which the Work under the Contract Documents may be the whole or only a part is generally described as followsMill and overlay of a portion of N Taylor St between 26th Ave and N Columbia St, MLK Dr, S Park Ln, and Ozone Park Dr. Work will include full depth asphalt patching in areas specified in these Plans. Alternate 1 will include mill and overlay of 26th Ave between N Taylor and N Polk and Schoultz Dr between N Taylor and N Filmore. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security in the form of certified check, cashier's check, or Bid Bond as prescribed by LA RS 38:2218.A.C, in the amount equal to at least five percent (5%) of the total amount bid and payable without conditions to the Owner. The outside envelope in which the bid is placed must be clearly marked with "Sealed Bid: CITY OF COVINGTON TAYLOR AND OZONE REPAVE Project No. C0260," the bid due date and time, contractor's name, address, and Louisiana state contractor's license number. It is requested, but not mandatory, that the entire bid package be submitted in duplicate. All applicable laws, ordinances, and rules and regulations of all authorities having jurisdiction over construction of the project shall apply to the contract throughout. No oral interpretation will be made to any Bidder as to the meaning of the drawings, specifications, or contract documents. Every request for such interpretation shall be made in writing and addressed and forwarded to the Engineer, Architect or person distributing plans and specifications.
