Sealed bids are invited for the construction of the "Well Site 8 to Water Tank 2 Water Line Project." The work consists of constructing the water line as detailed in the Request for Proposal. Bidders must have a California Contractors State License Board Classification B. All bidders must comply with requirements for public works projects, including payment of prevailing wages, payroll record keeping, overtime, employment of apprentices, nondiscrimination, and workers' compensation insurance. The work includes, traffic control, saw cutting pavement, trench excavation, installation of water pipeline and water valves, backfill of the trench, and pavement restoration. and all other work necessary to complete the work as shown on the improvement plans mentioned above. The District shall provide one set of construction stakes in the form of concrete nails in the existing asphalt and provide the contractor with a diagram and point description. The contractor shall be responsible for preserving all construction stakes.
