Renovation of an educational facility in Palmyra, Illinois. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
The scope of work involves Northwestern High School Restroom Plumbing Piping Replacements in Palmyra, Illinois. Bids must be submitted in a sealed bid envelope. Bid submissions must include a properly completed Proposal Form in duplicate, a bid deposit of 5% of the Base Bid, and comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the Illinois Department of Labor. Bidders must submit a notarized certification that the Contractor is not barred from bidding due to violations of Section 33E-3 or 33E-4 of Article 33E, Public Act 85-1295. During contract performance, the Contractor must not discriminate on the basis of race, color, creed, national origin, gender, age, or any other basis in violation of applicable law. Bids must be accompanied by a bid bond, bank draft, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of 5% of the Base Bid. The successful bidder will be required to provide a Surety Performance Bond and Labor and Material Payment Bond, each equal to 100% of the contract cost within ten days after notice of acceptance. All work is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. The school district reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularity in bidding. Prospective bidders in doubt as to the true meaning of part of the Drawings, Specifications, or other Contract Documents shall submit to the Architect, not less than 5 days before closing time for bids, a written request for interpretation and clarification.
