Demolition, site work, new construction and addition to a medical facility in Anoka, Minnesota. Working plans call for the demolition of a medical facility; for the construction of a 50-bed medical facility; and for the addition of a medical facility.
The project consists of replacing the 1950s-era Miller Building at the Anoka-Metro Regional Treatment Center campus in Anoka, Minnesota with a new 65,500-square-foot, 50-bed secured inpatient treatment facility. The state-funded $75 million expansion includes demolition of the existing building, construction of a single-story therapeutic facility, outdoor recreation amenities, stormwater features, and a corridor connection to the existing campus. The project has received site plan approval from the Anoka Planning Commission and will undergo city council review on March 16, with hazardous materials abatement beginning mid-May, demolition in late June, and construction starting in August.
