Renovation of a municipal facility in South Pittsburg, Tennessee. Completed plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.
The general scope of work includes asbestos abatement, transportation and disposal of asbestos containing materials (ACM) to an appropriate landfill. The City of South Pittsburg, Tennessee is seeking sealed bids from qualified, licensed contractors for the abatement of asbestos at the former Armory property located at 107 East 10th Street, South Pittsburg, Tennessee 37380. The scope includes abatement, removal, transportation, and disposal of asbestos-containing materials from the site to an appropriate landfill. Contractors must comply with all local, state, and federal regulations, obtain all necessary permits, and be responsible for all aspects of the abatement, transportation, and disposal process. All contractors must act as independent contractors, not employees, and must provide proof of general liability and worker's compensation insurance in their bid envelope. The outside of the bid envelope must include the bidder's name, address, telephone number, contractor license number, classification, monetary limit, and license expiration date. The City reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive any irregularities.
