As of March 23, 2026, the projects are being rebid.  The advertisement will be in the local paper next week. Sealed bids will be received for the Memorial Park Walking Path project, which includes pavement planing and surface overlay, installation of curb, gutters, and miscellaneous concrete work, installation and repair of catch basins in the Village of Ottawa, and restoration of all street markings using thermoplastic or equivalent product. Separate contracts will be awarded for asphalt work and concrete work, all within the Village of Ottawa and according to specifications. Each bid must include the full name of every person interested and be accompanied by a bid guaranty for the full amount of the bid or a certified check or a letter of credit amounting to 10% of the estimated bid of $169,000. Ohio Prevailing Wage Rates must be paid, with payroll verification slips submitted. The Village of Ottawa Council reserves the right to reject any or all bids and waive any irregularities in bidding. Memorial Park Walking Paths (10ft) and Access Roads o Existing Stone Paths Approximately 2,340' of existing stone path in the memorial park. North path (road to lot) 610' South path (road to E-W Path) 580' East-West Pool to Bridge 780' Parking lot to Parking Lot 250' Pool to parking lot 120' At 10' wide is 2600 square yards, (Account for having to make grade changes with stone) and placing 3" of Asphalt on the paths. o Existing Asphalt Paths Approximately 810' of existing asphalt. Parking lot to parking lot 575' Road to Lot to Lot Path 235' At 10' wide is 900 square yards. Tack the existing asphalt 10' wide path and place a 1.5" overlay. Grind out the existing asphalt outside of the 10' path. o New Asphalt Paths Approximately 750' of new paths leading to ball diamonds, shelter houses, and playground equipment. This will require excavation, stone base and 8' wide asphalt path. **Dirt and grass seeding work along the edge of the path to prevent steep drop off *The bid list for this project may be incomplete.
