This project consists of the construction of Parking Lot Improvements in the City of Grant, Nebraska. The major items or process units include: 80 SY of concrete removal up to 8" thick; 950 SY of grading and compaction; 113 CY of haul as cut; 10 CY of crushed concrete for soft spots; 30 LF of full depth saw cut up to 8" thick; 135 SY of sidewalk; and 241 tons of new hot mix asphalt compacted in place. There is an additive alternate for 94 SY of concrete removal up to 8" thick and 94 SY of new sidewalk. Each bidder must submit a certified check or Bid Bond in a separate sealed envelope for not less than 5% of the total amount of their Base Bid. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids. The owner may require submission of a Contractor's Qualification Statement (AIA Document A305) and/or a signed certificate from a surety company licensed in Nebraska that guarantees the provision of a Performance Bond and Labor & Material Bond in the full amount of the Contract Sum. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities and may accept the bid deemed most beneficial to the City of Grant, Nebraska.
