This project consists of the following major items or process units, for which contractors may bid either or both contracts: Contract No. 1: 1. Armor coat various streets within the city. The aggregate will be furnished to a storage area within Grant by the city, and the contractor will pick up and deliver aggregate to the aggregate spreader. The contractor will furnish and install necessary oil. The total area for armor coat is 45,000 square yards. Contract No. 2: 1. Furnish and install 91,750 pounds of crack sealant to approximately 20,000 linear feet of cracks, including Detack to designated streets. 2. Furnish and install 175 tons of Type SPR 64-22 hot mix asphalt, including base stabilization to patches designated within Grant. Each bidder must submit with their bid a certified check or Bid Bond in a separate sealed envelope, in an amount not less than five percent (5%) of the total amount of their base bid. No bidder may withdraw their proposal for at least thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for receipt of bids. The owner may require any bidder to submit to the engineer, prior to the date of the bid opening, a properly executed Contractor's Qualification Statement, AlA Document A305, and/or that their bid be accompanied with a signed certificate from a surety company licensed in the State of Nebraska. The surety company shall provide the bidder, if awarded the contract, with a Performance Bond and Labor & Material Bond in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract sum. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive information in bids received. The owner reserves the right to accept any bid, with or without alternates, and to reduce or increase the area coated by up to 15% without a change in the unit pricing.
