Renovation of a military facility in Boulder, Colorado. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a military facility.
Replacement of an existing laboratory fume hood and associated rooftop exhaust system in Building 2, Room 1330 at the NIST Boulder Campus, including demolition of a 1992 tabletop fume hood and installation of a new walk-in fume hood and hazardous exhaust fan to support research using larger equipment and toxic gases. Work includes architectural, mechanical, plumbing, electrical, and fire alarm modifications; removal and replacement of countertops, sink, plumbing connections, ductwork, rooftop exhaust fan, electrical circuits, cable tray, and lightning protection connections; and installation of a panic alarm system integrated with the building fire alarm system. The contractor shall provide structural design and installation of exhaust stack supports, perform ASHRAE 110 performance testing of the hood and exhaust system, and coordinate all construction activities with NIST personnel. The anticipated period of performance is approximately six months from award. Location: NIST Boulder Campus, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305.
