The Project Generally Consists of Replacing Existing 4-inch Water Lines With New 8-inch Water Mains, Replacing an Existing 12-inch Water Main With a New 12-inch Water Main, and Replacing Existing Water Service Lines With New Services and Appurtenances, for the South Adams County Water and Sanitation District in Commerce City, Colorado. The Project Area is Located on Several Streets in the Same General Area. The Project is Comprised of a BASE Bid and a Bid Alternate. The BASE Bid Consists of Installing Approximately 2,350 Lineal Feet of 8-inch Water LINE and 650 Lineal Feet of 12-inch Water LINE, Transferring a Total of 64 Service Lines, Installing New Fire Hydrants, and Associated Asphalt and Concrete Removal and Replacement. Alternate No. 1 Primarily Consists of Transferring a Total of 27 Service Lines From the Existing 4-inch Water Main to an Existing 16-inch Water Main in Order to Abandon the Smaller Main in Place. This Work Also Includes Installing New Fire Hydrants, and Associated Asphalt and Concrete Removal and Replacement. It is the Owner's Desire to Award a Contract for the BASE Bid. If Pricing and Available Budget Allows, the Owner May Choose to Add the Alternate No. 1 Work to the Contract at Their Discretion. 2026 Sacwsd Water System Removal and Replacements Phase 2. Bids Will Be Received on a Unit Price Basis. Bid Security in the Amount of 5 Percent of the Total Bid Must Accompany Each Bid. It is Anticipated That the Contract Agreement Will Be Signed and the Notice to Proceed Will Be Issued in Early June, 2026. Construction of the BASE Bid Shall Be Completed and Ready for Final Payment Within ONE Hundred (100) Calendar Days. If Alternate No. 1 is Added to the Contract, the Construction of All Work Shall Be Completed and Ready for Final Payment Within ONE Hundred and Thirty (130) Calendar Days. The Successful Bidder Will Be Required to Furnish a Construction Performance Bond and a Construction Payment Bond as Security for the Faithful Performance and the Payment of All Bills and Obligations Arising From the Performance of the Contract. The Bid and Bid Security Will Remain Subject to Acceptance for 70 Calendar Days After the Bid Opening, or for Such Longer Period of Time That Bidder May Agree to in Writing Upon Request of Owner. The District Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids, to Waive Informalities, and to Reject Non-conforming, Non-responsive, or Conditional Bids.
