Sealed bids for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment and supervision for nourishment of portions of the Flagler County beach and dune system in conformance with the project plans and contract documents. The project will consist of constructing and an elevated beach berm, dune and vegetation in accordance with the project plans and specifications. The scope of work includes but is not limited to the following: mobilization/demobilization; preparation and restoration of the work site and access points, mechanical screening of dredge material; structural inspection and vibration monitoring; beach tilling/decompaction; endangered species monitoring and observation; sea turtle trawling; sand fencing and post & rope; and placement of sand and dune vegetation, performance of all operations and surveys in connection with the construction and other related items incidental to the work as the Bid in accordance with the Contract Documents. All work shall be constructed in accordance with the Contract Documents. Bids must be accompanied by a certified check, bank draft, or satisfactory Bid Bond, drawn in the favor of Flagler County in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid as shown on the Bid Form. No Bidder may withdraw his Bid after the scheduled closing time for receipt of Bids. All Bids must be firm for a period of one hundred twenty (120) days after the time set for opening Bids. The successful Bidder will be required to furnish and pay for satisfactory Contract Bonds (Performance and Payment) and appropriate Warranty Bond. Upon award of contract, a Certificate of Insurance must be provided indicating compliance with the criteria and for the coverage(s) in the Standard Terms and Conditions of the Agreement between the County and the selected Contractor. Flagler County reserves the right to reject any and all Bids, to award all or segments of the project and to waive any informality in Bids received, as may be in the best interest of the County.
